Summary: Decided to indulge in a little fun and see what it would be like if Karen and Blanche ran into Mulder and Scully, as they would be contemporaries.

Summary: Whoo-hoo! Got a ton done today, and all on target! Still behind overall, but closing the gap! Today was some more interactions between Blanche and Karen, both when they first meet and after a revelation, plus some descriptions of what a city looks like to an Attuned.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: Fun fact: you can scry people, but you can’t scry magical items. That’s why people always have to go on quests, because you can’t find the item with magic if it is magic itself.

Editing: None.

Summary: Wrote another part of the goblin market scene and some sexy time with Karen and Blanche. Rounded out the evening with Entry #235 for Cat’s Cradle. Spent more of the day watching The X-Files than I’d originally planned, but whatever. Still feel like I need a longer weekend.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: As someone whose wardrobe aesthetic is generally described as “army surplus,” I normally didn’t care what other people thought of my apartment… but with Blanche coming over, I was acutely embarrassed about the bachelorette vibe of the place.

Editing: None.

Summary: Wrote one line, and it isn’t even really for SiS. Just a statement of being. Watched more X-Files. Sleep.

Project: Spells in Sepia (SiS)

Summary: Long exhausting day. Worked from 7am until 7pm. No time to write and a big program tomorrow. Completely wrung out, but I was determined to get a little something done and keep the writing streak going, especially at the halfway mark in NaNoWriMo. So I wrote a partial description of Karen’s apartment.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: Home gave my poor, overworked eyes and brain a break, a chance to look at things that didn’t have layers of reality to sift through.

Editing: None.

Summary: Karen at the Demon Church. Would have written more, but rescued a cat and got hit by a deer so the evening is shot. Tomorrow I’ve got an 8am meeting, so that isn’t looking too good either.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: The whole place felt like one giant jump scare waiting to happen.

Editing: None.

Summary: In which Karen has a conversation with a poltergeist.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: Mrs. Ming had set up shop on what must be the most haunted ground in Hong Kong because it seemed like every other week some ghost or ghoul or goblin came to wreak havoc on her kitchen.

Project: Spells in Sepia (SiS)

Summary: Had a bit of a brain-blast today so I got out an emotional scene with Karen, Giliad, and Kimika, plus figured out a possible inciting incident, which will lead to another emotional scene with Karen and Blanche. Didn’t get as much done word-count-wise, but I think the quality is a bit better today.

#NullaDiesSineLinea:

It turned out beautifully. I titled the piece, “Penitent to the Sea Goddess” and submitted it to an artistic photo magazine.

Little did I realize how much heartache and grief that single photograph would cause.

Editing: None.

Project: Spells in Sepia (SiS)

Summary: Finally recuperating. Spent a quiet day at home and got a decent amount of writing done, even though I’m relearning that it is impossible to “only watch one or two episodes” of The X-Files. Still feels like fleshing out the world, but that’s fine for now. Also included part of an incident when Karen discovers something very important about Blanche.

#NullaDiesSineLinea: Many people love haunted houses and say they would like to see ghosts or experience a supernatural event. Inevitably, those are people who have never actually had that experience.

Editing: None.
